Provillus VS. Procerin

Provillus vs. Procerin

Which Hair Regrowth Product Wins?

Hey, Listen Up!!!

STOP! You NEED to read every single word on this page if you have EVER considered taking a hair regrowth pill. Seriously, read EVERY word!

Fri, Aug 20 2010

Hi folks,

Those of you who have seen my photos know that I look about 10 years older than my actual age. The reason is painfully clear... I'm losing my hair.I'm going BALD!

My dad has a great set of hair, but mom's side of the family... well, they have cursed me to a life of Mr. Clean jokes.

What you guys might not have known about me though, is that I have been trying out a new product over the last year or so. That would explain why you guys haven't seen any pics of me without me wearing some kind of hat.

I will be posting my before and after pictures in just a couple of weeks.

So what did I use? Ha! The question should be what DIDN'T I use!

Well I originally started off with some of the clinical products like Rogain (Minoxodil) and spiro, but the spiro cream smelled so bad that I was just embarrassed to have it on me all the time. Applying the minoxadil was just a chore to do multiple times per day, every day. Eventually, I would miss a day or two and I just stopped. I needed something easier.

I was about to try Restoration Hair and was told to stay away from it, so I did. Next.

I picked up some nizoral shampoo, and still use that twice per week, as it is documented to help block DHT at the scalp. But you can't use it every day, because it really dries out your skin.

At this point, I purchased Procerin, one of the two products that are competing head to head in this article. I used it until I ran out, which was about 3 months. My hair got thicker and I had some light blonde hairs starting to grown in, so that was interesting.

I was skeptical about this one because I had read online that this product was likely a scam, but no matter how many times I asked, nobody could produce evidence to why it was a scam.

I did use it with my nizoral shampoo, so perhaps the two together is what gave me the results.

I decided to conduct a real test and remove any outside factors.

This time I ordered Provillus. I had read a lot of good things about this one. Without using nizoral or anything else, I could see what the effects would be, if anything.

I bought the 6 month supply, because most people were saying that it was in month 5 and 6 that you notice most of your initial gains.

Did it work? Yeah, sort of. For the first 3 months, I didn't see squat. I almost returned it for a refund, but I stuck with it.

I didn't even notice much until a friend of mine that I hadn't seen in nearly a year was joking around that I got hair transplants. I then compared a current photo of us together to an older photo she had of us a year earlier. There was a big difference. Oh, this was nearing my 6 month mark with the product.

So in the end, Provillus really worked well on its own. I would recommend it whole-heartedly to people. If it doesn't work for you, Provillus offers a 6 month money back guarantee.

Whatever you do, GET THE 6 MONTHS package. Seriously! Otherwise you're wasting your money.

I'm not going to get into all the specifics of how it works, because you can get all of that on their website. But to me, taking a pill is fast and easy and I don't have to add nasty creams to my scalp and smell like a skunk all day long. I can pop the pills and be done with it.

Here's the manufacturers websites for Provillus and Procerin:
www.provillus.com
www.procerin.com

Take care,

1. Raider Says:

Sean, I wanted to thank you for this awesome review. I too have used Rogaine and it's a pain in the ass applying it in the morning and at night. Based on your review, I am going to order Provillus. Like you said, with the money guarantee, it's worth a shot.

2. Cindy Says:

If you need another opinion, how about mine? I bought Provillus when I had read a lot of good things about it over a year ago (before this review), and I agree completely with Sean; Provillus works.

I should point out that they have a different formula for women than for men.

3. InternetMutt Says:

I've used everything out there. Provillus is the best. I haven't tried Procerin, but I don't feel like changing since it is working for me.

I had previously taken a well known DHT blocker, but it killed my libido. The only other option would be surgery, and that is out of my price range for now.

Order some Provillus, you'll be thanking me later when you see that hair coming in.

By the way, Provillus is far cheaper for a 6 month supply than Procerin, since you are really only buying 4 bottles and getting the other 2 for free. It's a no brainer.

4. VP Says:

Just so everybody knows, I'm a Procerin to Provilus convert. Procerin just didn't work well for me, and I'm not going to go into reasons why right now.

5. MarkP Says:

I tried to order Provillus, but their site seems to be down. Has anybody used Procerin and liked it better than Provillus?

6. Chris Says:

MarkP: The site is working for me. Probably your internet connection. As for your question, I think you're going to find that most people who have used both Provillus and Procerin, are always going to come back to Provillus. Procerin has huge marketing behind them - I think they even did an infomercial, so people know that brand and there are going to be those people that no matter how many times you tell them there is a better, cheaper alternative, they won't buy it. Procerin worked well for me, but it's not on the same level as Provillus. Provillus just does everything better and faster... and for less money. You'll find that the people who say Procerin is better are typically people who have never tried Provillus. I used to be one of those people! Looking back, to me, that's like somebody who has never seen a Saint Bernard trying to convince people that a Poodle is a larger dog. It's just silly when you really know the truth.

7. Gecco Says:

Provillus = 10 out of 10

Procerin = 8.5 out of 10

Enough Said. Game Over!

8. willy Says:

6 month garrantee is the longest i have seen so theres nothing to loose!

9. MARYANN Says:

WHERE DO YOU BUY THIS PRODUCT FOR WOMEN?

10. Connie Says:

Maryann, they sell the pills for women at the same website: www.provillus.com

11. LL Says:

I've used serveal hair re-growth products (monoxidill, avacor, etc.) with no success. I was on the verge of ordeing the scalp med product when stumbled onto this website. This is the first time I've read what appears to be honest feedback on hair re-growth products. With this said, I'm going to order the Provillus product. Wish me luck and thanks for the feedback.

12. Bob Says:

Has anyone ever tried Scalp Med or heard anything about it?

13. Dave Says:

I'm 22 and losing my hair like crazy, i've never tried anything yet and I'm worried what to try first and what to stay away from.

14. Ras T. Says:

I began using Provillus in June of 2006. I'm 52 years old w/ dreadlocks.Noticed that I had lost alot of hair due to stressors of life,DHT or whatever.I'd thought about alternatives but tried the aforementioned instead.Guess what? This stuff really works. My scalp is almost no longer visible. It's like all new baby hair and it's slowly, steadidly, increasing in thickness.Believe me I check frequently for progress. This stuff is the BOMB!!!!

15. Ava Says:

I want to know if anybody has tried Scalp Med & does it work?, please let me know, I'm a woman w/thinning hair an a bald spot on the top of my hair from my hair line to the crown, I was about to place an order for Scalp Med but decided to check with anybody that had used this product in the past, please reply a.s.a.p., I need all of the help that I can get.

Thanks,

Ava

16. ithc 1 Says:

I am using Proceperin and love it. My hair is coming back and is getting thicker. Plan on using it with the Laser comb.

17. Grainy Says:

Hey All!

I have really enjoyed everyone's input! I am 26 and have noticed my hairline thinning, and that freaks me out! My husband, is only 27 and losing his hair soooo quickly!:( I bought him Nioxin last year but haven't seen any results and definitely hate the smell of the product. Has anyone else used or heard of Nioxin, before?

What do you all think or know about Nioxin, or Scalpmed? Also, are there any side effects when using Provillus?

LASTLY, can someone PLEASE post some before and after pictures?

18. Leni Says:

I used Scalpmed and its not efficient, and it also sloppy.

You will see results but if you stop for a couple weeks everything will fall believe me. Has anyone experinced any side effects from Provillus?

19. Athena C. Says:

I bought sclpmed for my mom and can't semm to get a response back as we have since found out that she is allergisc to minoxodil. What can I do?

20. Joeze Says:

Hi great site great work thank you!

21. candace Says:

to: Sean s.

any info. on the lazer combs that are currently being touted as the best solution to hair loss for either men or women?

22. steven s Says:

Does provillus really work???I have tried lazer theropy,Propecia,Rogaine, and have been using Nioxin hair products for over a year now and don't see the results I would like(still falling out)what can I do???

23. alljoy Says:

I started losing my hair about 2 yrs. ago i bought avacor no results. So i have'nt tryed anything else I figured they were all crap.

Please advise.

24. Joe Says:

Sean, your comments about Rogaine were not good- too inconvenient! I also tried it for about 3 months and it was a pain so I quit.

25. Tito Says:

Hello;

I have tried Rogaine, Folicare, Folicure and some other brands and they always have a catch in the guarantee.. Does any body here knows if this company had some issues in the past with their guarantee policy? I am so tired of been robe with this products that I want to be sure were Im putting my money. But by your comments I will defenitly going to try it!

26. DISCUSSED Says:

ROGAINE WAS STARTED AS A BLOOD PRESURE MED ,I WAS TOLD, AND WHEN THEY FOUND THAT IT WAS CAUSING THE HAIR TO REGROW. TO JUST FUZZ, THEY DECIDED TO PUT IT ON THE MARKET AS A HAIR REGROWTH TREATMENT. IF YOU STOPPED USING IT THE HAIR WILL FALL OUT AGAIN. WILL THIS PROVILLUS PRODUCT DO THIS TO.

27. Emily Says:

I have very very thin hair, a LOT thinner than it was even 6yrs. ago, i have to keep it very short, if it goes past my chin you really notice how thin it is. it sucks, i've tried rogain for women & Avacor to no avail, avacor & rogaine are the same damn thing, both using minoxidil.

28. Chris Says:

I'm glad I found this web page. So is scalp-med a scam? Also the main ingrediant in rogaine I have heard can have some nasty side effects and be brutal to your liver. I love the idea of taking a pill but wonder about long term side effects since obviously this Provillus would be a lifetime supplement. Hey, I don't mind if it works but would love to know if it's safe to take long term. Any thoughts anyone? Would love to hear.

29. Sayem Says:

Hi, Have u guys tried Hair Genesis products. I been using it for last few months. i dont know if it really works. Now i am using Rogaine foam along with Hair genesis hair vitamin. It looks like everything is just a scam. I dont know about Provillus or Proceren but it is really hard to believe whic one is working. I am confused. I guess Hair club might give me some hope. Good luck.

30. Howie Says:

Hey Sean, thanks for the info. man. I have been using Procerin for a year and it has been working for me. I have been using the Provillus for about 7 months and I have been quite pleased. Thanks much dude. By the way,you are HOT!!! ;-)

31. gloriaare Says:

I think you are doing a wonderous thing all though I personally have not tried it, but something about your ad is so appealing. Keep up the good work!

A will-be consumer

32. Judy McNeal Says:

I'm an african american woman and I have suffered hair loss due to accutane. The shedding was unbelieveable and I will be trying the Provillus as soon as possible. I will report my results. Thanks for sharing your information. Judy

33. Mr. Gold Says:

ok i'm convinced i'm going to try Provillus. i'm 22 also but i know who i'm losing, but hopefully it works. oh yea Avacor is useless. you'll be better off putting water on your head everyday. but yea i'm gonna try Provillus, i just hope it works.

34. Harry Says:

Thanks for your information. I may try Provillus.

I tried Restoration Hair--does not work and they kept sending me the shampoo and billing my credit card. I can't get up with them and did not order all of this. Help..trying to get the credit card charges taken off.

35. Anita Says:

thanks folks, I ordered and have been TRYING

36. Jim Says:

I think im going to try provillus. I ll let you now how things turn out.

37. Indrid Says:

Hey guys, Im 24 and my hair is somewhat thinning I guess and my hairline seems to be higher now. My dad's side are all but im good on my mom's. Im cautiously deciding to buy a dht blocker and that would be procerin vs provillus. I have tried procerin for three months and did notice a slight increase of thickness. My only concern is preventative steps since that im still young and have not experienced major hair alterations. I have many questions and no help. I simply stopped using procerin for fear of it having a reverse effect because I might not have needed it in the first place.

Thank you guys,
Jason

38. Ralph Says:

Thanks for the information,

It seems the majority vote is in for Provillus.

Hoping to see all of us with a full, natural head of hair.

39. jeannette Says:

Thanks for the info. I have been suffering and unsure of using anything, until my Doc. suggested I could use Rogaine. I'll try Provillus, which me luch, I'll holla

40. elizabeth Says:

I GIVE YOU ALOT OF CREDIT FOR GOING THROUGH WHAT YO DID BUT IT SOUNDS LIKE IT PAID OFF. THANK GOD THERE IS SOMETHING OUT THERE THAT WORKS. MY HUSBAND IS LOOKING FOR SOMEING. HES LOSSING HIS HAIR. WELL ITS ALMOST GONE BUT I AM GONA PRINT THIS OUT AND ILL LET YOU NO HOW IT WORKS OUT. THANKS FOR THE INFO.

41. Willie Says:

AND THANK YOU AGAIN LETTER BRO.

WILLIE

42. Sailor Says:

THANKS! All your comments have been a great help. Yes, thanks to all of you I was able to make a decision based on fact rather than the "hyp" of the sales staff.

43. Shurie Says:

I have been doing a lot of research and this site has convinced me to try Provillus. I have lost a lot of hair due to surgeries and hormone imbalances. I am only 40 and I do not wish to be bald like my husband. lol I currently use the Nioxin hair products plus a good hair vitamin. I am looking for something to add with all of the above. I too will let everyone know if it works for me or not.

44. Raj Chowdary Says:

I used scalpmed like 1 month only 2 c myself lose hair...it sucks!! may be I'll try provillis....thanx anyway 4 sharing info

45. Ray (Castro Valley, CA) Says:

1st, thank you Sean S. for your truthfulness. 2nd, #34 Harry, tell your Restoration Hair (RH) that you have a cousin that's an attorney and/or report the problem to the District Attorney's office. They will see that RH cannot do business in your county/state again. It worked for me. Now, I will try Provillus as per Sean because Rogaine didn't.

46. BrownGirl Says:

Sean,

Ok....although I might be crazy to trust you I'm going to try to Provillus. I am a 39 year old A-American woman who began to lose my hair several years ago after my Dad's death. Since then I went uptown to Harlem got braids, weaves and the the like only to LOSE MORE HAIR!! Yikes...SO not attractive. I've tried Rogain for Women, Shen Min, Peppermint Shampoo and prayer!!! I'm hoping that all the praying has led me to Provillus. WE SHALL SEE...but thanks Sean ....Cute face, great job, bald spots...NOT CUTE. I'll report results. BG

47. Sam Powell Says:

I need to try this.

48. Brian Says:

Check out this 20/20 expose show on Avacor and Hairgenesis

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=viUrUdSrzKA

49. Gregg Says:

I just ordered the Provillus and I hope I see great results; ordered the 6 month supply (4 + 2 free). I have tried Scalp Med, Rogaine, etc. with no results....they SUCKED.....hoping Provillus will work for me. Thanks Sean for this website. Will keep u posted on my results.

50. Amelia Says:

WoW! I was just trying to get into Scalpmed since I saw their commercial while in Canada and tumbled into this site. What a blessing to get the bird's eye witness on a product. I'm no fool...Provillus is what I will order.

Thanks a lot. I'm going through some stress and my full head of hair is fall fast. Also have some males in my family who could use your positive results.

I thank you for my whole family.

51. carla Says:

I can tell you that the product does work very well for some. My husband has used it for years with great success.

Also have to agree with post 33, you are hot Sean!

52. randy Says:

ok, quick question. if hair restoration is in my price range, does anybody know of any reason i should not go with it?

53. Erik Says:

I noticed my hair was thinning all over. After about 3 to 4 months of using provillus, my hair is so thick and I am very happy. I even take a shower and pull my hair to see if hairs fall out, but nothing, it is strong.

54. Otto Says:

I have been using Provillus for only 2 weeks and I noticed that there are small baby hairs starting to regrow. Can that be possible that it is working so fast?

55. Jamie Says:

To #43, Shurie:

I also have suffered quite a bit of hair loss due to illness (lupus) and hormone imbalances. I am in my early 40's, so I can relate to how you probably feel about your hair loss as a woman. I have tried the Nioxin products (the smell is awful!) and Rogaine for Women, without much difference. I will probably try the Provillus, but I'm wondering what "hair vitamin" you are referring to, because I'd like to try that as well. Thanks!

56. jayne thorne Says:

thanks for the info been dealing with hair loss a long time im 47 yr old woman with thyroid problem, Dr, martin feldman in nyc has grown my hair back with vitamins but then 6 months later it starts to fall again and the 30 vitamins a day is a drag hes holistic i will check with him about provillus, and see if theres any side effects and then i will start to take it and report back thanks

57. Carlos Moreno Says:

I tried Provillis for 6 months and I saw noticeable results. It works, just takes like 3 -6 months. I have had no side effects with this.

58. Jane Says:

After reading your review (and a couple of others), I decided to give Provillus a try - I really need all the help I can get! Fingers crossed that this works!

john yates

59. Andrew Says:

resturation hair sucks i think its a scam

60. Marie Says:

Rogaine gave me a headache EVERY day!

61. Mario Says:

I found several medical sites that list Hair Loss as one of the possible side effects of Nizoral Shampoo.

62. Abdul Says:

hello again,

does provillus need any prescription?

63. Hedy Says:

Hey Randy, #52 -- I wouldn't go with Bosley, if you're seriously considering HR. DANGER, WILL ROBINSON! DANGER! but I found an absolutely awesome 2-Doc team in Canada that did an excellent job. A note on surgical HR, though. 1) Not everyone is a good candidate for this procedure, so do your homework and 2) Until you stop the hair loss, your hair will begin to look thin again a year or 2 after the procedure. It WILL NOT be the new implanted hairs, but the rest of your scalp that continues to have hair loss.

I'm a woman in my 50's, and work in an ER, and have seen people come in with rapid heart rates related to Rogaine's use. Makes sense, since it originated as a blood pressure med. So I didn't want to try it, and went the vitamin route. I never saw any appreciable results, other than a slowing of my hair loss. I finally opted for hair replacement surgery, because ladies, you know how agonizing it is. Men can have hair loss and still be sexy, but women can't. I've continued to have hair loss, so I'm looking thin on top again. I can either go back for round 2 of surgery, (the doctor said I had enough hair on the back of my head to do so) or try something else. I had a good experience, but don't want to do that again. I ordered Provillis for women today and am going out to buy Nioxin as soon as I finish this.

If you can afford hair replacement surgery, there are talented and qualified doctors out there that can do it. Do I regret the surgery? No, because I had balding patches, and the surgery populated those areas with hair that has stayed. My best advice? Follow Sean's example - RESEARCH! That's what brought me to his website, (Thanks, Sean!) and I'm anticipating success with the changes I'm going to make. Don't give up!

64. Kathy Says:

Thanks for the info on Provillus. I had chemo and stem cell transplant and use to have hair to my waist. Now it's baby fine and so thin on top. I had a list of different products and didn't know which one to use. I was leaning toward Advecia and definitely NOT Rogaine. I will try it. I miss my long hair.

65. I don't need hair. Says:

It's whats under the hood that counts. Do you get my drift?

66. JimW Says:

I am reading with great interest as I am 57 & have been bald for quite some time. Had pretty much given up as I do NOT want any surgical procedures. My question is this: When one stops using this product (provillus), do the results reverse themselves as I read about Rogaine, etc.?

67. Eric Says:

Scalp Med is a scam..i tried it for 3 months and no result...

68. Debra Says:

I am going to try this product. I have been using Rogaine for a year or so....at first my hair was growing back and then it started to fall out again. I had 3 surgeries in a year so maybe that is the cause. I wonder about hair spray, root boost etc...could that be clogging the root areas and causing the problem too?? Any thoughts??

69. Barbara Says:

Thanks for the advice. About 10 years ago I started using a topical product called Kevis and it seemed to help some but thought that I would try something different. I tried Scalp Med and you are right about the fact that it does not work. I think that I will try the Provillus. I will let you know if I see some positive results.

70. Nina Says:

I have thinning hair. I used Rogaine for women for about a month when I noticed extra hair growth everywhere - on my face, my back, etc. I already am too hairy everywhere else so I stopped using Rogaine. Does Provillus have the same side effect - that it will give me hair regrowth everywhere, not just on my head?

71. Tangie Says:

I've been using hair genesis since January 2007 and haven't seen any real results. I think its a scam. I purchased a year supply, so until something better comes along, I will continue to use it.

72. Dominique Says:

Hi Sean, How is Provillus working for you now? I have been using Rogaine for men for about 3 years and it did stop falling but I think it is starting again... so please let me know. I really appreciate your input.

Thank you.

73. NANCY Says:

I'm considering purchasing Zulvera Herbal Shampoo. Do you have any experience with this product? I am concerned about the order being sent from Wellworth Exports in New Delhi India.

74. Jan Says:

I have had thyroid problems and have been losing my hair. My dermatologist told me to get Rogaine for Men because it was supposed to work better. Well, it seemed to stop my hair from falling out but I have had a red, enlarged nose with huge pores since using this stuff. It feels like someone hit me in the face - I get headaches, and swollen.

I went off, felt better, my hair started falling out like crazy and started it again in a panic. Now I am having those same horrible symptoms and will stop it, but fear losing a ton of hair again. I'll try Provillus and hope and pray there are no side effects.

75. bob Says:

is this a real page?

76. Matt Says:

Obviously Provillus sounds like the way to go, but I have a few questions. 1) I'm only 19 and just starting to notice a receding hairline, when should I start using the Provillus for fear of doing more harm than good? and.. 2) Some how my common sense is telling me that if it's a pill, there's no way to localize the effects just to your scalp... if you get my drift? PLEASE EXPLAIN

77. Lisa Says:

Wow, I can't believe I may have an answer...I am 45 and have been loosing my hair for the last couple of years. The doc told me to try Rogaine and I HATED IT!!! I really need to know one thing, though, should this be taken if you are on thyroid, blood pressure or any other type of meds? I would really like to avoid other medical issues.

Has anyone experienced ANY side effects?

78. Terri Says:

I ordered the Zulvera Herbal Shampoo from New Delhi - a 6 month suppply. I'm still on my first bottle. I have noticed some baby fine hairs on the top of my head. I'm 43 years old woman and have been losing my hair since my second child was born when I was 24 yrs. The area affected is right on the top middle section from my hair line going back. It's quite distressing and it's something that bothers me EVERY day. I will continue to use the Zulvera and will also order the Provillus. The testomonies so far have been encouraging so I'll give it a go!

79. Roman Smith Says:

Hey Sean, you are a very sexy man.

80. Momma Says:

My son is 18 years old and his hair is noticeably thinning everywhere. This started about a year ago, I think, after he was dying his hair for fun, sometimes 2-3 times a month. He's pretty sad about it. Can anyone explain about DHT blocking?

81. Ben Says:

Hi Sean,

I have read every comment on your page and I guess the only way to get answers is to post something and have it answered. I have similar questions as to #76 Matt. 1) I am in my early 20's and noticed my receding hairline and wanted to know when to start and if it will cause harm? 2)Does Provillus affect only your scalp and not the rest of your body, because it's a pill? 3)I've been reading and several comments have asked if you stopped using Provillus like Rogaine or etc., will it continue your hair loss soon, in a year or two, or depending on how you groom your hair? 4)I've researched about other hair thickening products such as horsetail silica sold at the Vitamin Shoppe or GNC,Prograine shampoo and Fuller Thicker Hair conditioners work by regaining hair or stopping hair loss? and lastly 5)I saw a comment about the Laser comb and found Hairmax's Lasercomb as the official one and if it is proven to help stop hairloss?

Thanks,

Sean

P.S. Where are the pics of you before and after?! Just wanted to see the results.

82. Sylvia Says:

Does anyone know if the lazer brushes work?

83. Ken Says:

Thank Dude for the update. I was about to go Procerin, but I am now going to opt for Provillus. I will let you know my results.

84. tony mancini Says:

Rogaine has achieved moderate success for me. Does it help to combine treatments, e.g. Rogaine with Provillus and Lasercomb, or do they somehow counteract?

85. M.A. Says:

I have trichotillamania which I suffered from for years. I had a full head of hair but the excessive pulling had damaged my scalp which caused new hair to stop growing, naturally. I've since tried many regrowth formulas and vitamins, I am not sure provillus can help me but I will try. By the way, the laser combs are a rip off, I've spent loads on them and none worked = try the tingly massagers, they stimulate the blood flow better. good luck all

86. amy Says:

yah... it worked for my friend...

87. bob Says:

Hair Genesis was busted on 20/20. The show can be seen on You Tube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=viUrUdSrzKA

88. cathy Says:

So I've been trying Regenetress (shampoo and two topicals) and some vitamins. Now my scalp is really itchy. Has anyone who has experienced regrowth, did your scalp get itchy before you noticed the regrowth?

89. julie Says:

rogain turned me into the bearded woman... thats it.

then i spent a fortune on electrolisis ouch...

will provillus do the same thing??

would a woman who has tryed provillus please, respond back to me-- i too have tried every thing-- i have spent too

much money for no possitive results

90. Dee Says:

I'm going to the zulver shampoo. if anyone has had good or bad results please post asap.

Thanks

91. johnny Says:

Any inputs for revivogen would be great. i have been using it for a month now and haven't really noticed any change, but after reading all these reviews, Provillus seems promising. thx Sean

92. Nathan Says:

My wife bought ScalpMed for me from an infomercial. I noticed a significant decrease in hair falling out during and after showering. I also noticed some slight regrowth. I felt it was too expensive and was pursuaded to try Nioxin. I have since noticed much more hair falling out once again. I've been considering ordering ScalpMed again, but will research Provillus. Just wanted to let those reading this site that I had a good experience with ScalpMed. I was also using their shampoo. Good luck to everyone. Just make sure you don't get too worked up about all this external stuff. It's what's on the inside that makes a person! Cheers!

93. Bob Says:

Whats all the craze about this Zulvera Herbal Shampoo from India, do you know anything about this????

94. lee Says:

I have heard that there are several culprits for hairloss; DHT (dihydrotestosterone) which blocks the stimulation of hair follicles then weakens/kills it; DHEA, Thymus/Thyroid conditions, Adrenal overstimulation,mercury/lead/arsenic contamination and insuffient/malabsorption levels of MSM, oily fish, copper, zinc, etc....

95. Tammy Says:

Hello, I'm 40 and just started using rogaine. I don't like the alcohol in it as I have dry hair to begin with, and with it being a liquid I got it in my eye's OUCH! Now I'm going to give this (Provillus)a try but I want to know what the age limit is for this product. My 21 year old daughter has been blessed with the same thin hair I have and some falling out (but not much more than seems normal to me but she's freaking) At 21 is it safe for her to use. She doesn't have any medical conditions but does take birthcontrol to control her moods.

96. Joy Heisele Says:

Lots of good questions and comments. Do you ever recieve and post answers. I'm specifically intrested in drug interactions.

97. Kathy Says:

Has anyone tried the product Hair Restoration? It came up when I was searching for Scalp Med?

98. natalie Says:

i'm glad i stumbled onto this site. i was just about to order scalpmed and saw this site next in line. i'm 46 and the tresses are thinning. i've tried rogaine and avacor; both are no-ops (although i do like the avacor "boost" product a lot). I'm going to try the provillus right now. thanks for all the feedback everybody! it's great to have a site like this that is so helpful.

99. natalie Says:

Does provillus work on any part of your head? Or is it limited to the back part only?

Im pretty young, 21 and already experiencing hair loss... is not fair, but Oh well, gotta deal with it.

Seriously thinking about getting surgery, I think it could cost me 6k or close to that. Is a price Im willing to pay and get my self into debt... I mean, if I was 50 or 60 years old it would be no prob. But IM ONLY 21. My self-esteem is pretty low, and Im not gonna let that affect me for the rest of my life. Ive been trying Scalp-med for the past 3 months, and I dont see any changes...

Can someone please be honest and tell me if PROVILLUS works for the frontal-side area?

Im willing to post some before/after pics.

THANKS

102. Mr.Joyce Says:

Has anybody tried HVT (a dietary suppliment for hair loss )

It seem to work as long as I take it. Has anybody tried it ? I mainly concerned as to whether or not sideeffets can take place . Any information at all would be most appreciated.

Than you,

Joyce

103. jaime Says:

Does anyone have info as to whether laser combs do in fact stop hair loss, and do they help regrow hair? Do they really make hair thicker, and healthier? Which brands are the best to buy?

Thanks, jaime, nyc

104. Migfredys Says:

Harry, in reference to your credit cards being charged, that has happened to me before, you need to be tuff with them, tell them that you will contact your attorney so that it can be handled in courts, believe they don't want to go to court for a couple of hundred dollars. It happened to my husband also recently and they took the charges off.

105. Scott Says:

I am interested in contacting #3 Internett Mutt about the libido depressing DHT blocker he took. Could I somehow find out what product he was taking?

115. Monisha Says:

Hi Sean,

Could you or anyone else please answer Ben's questions? #81 I have all of the same concerns!

Thanks:) this site has been rele helpful..i want to try provillus now

116. Kris Says:

I've been using Scalp Med for about 3 months. Hair is starting to grow. So far I'm pleased with the result in so short a time frame. I've been reading about provillus and am interested because of the lower price. I understand that the active incredient in both of these is Monoxidil? Have you had any experience with switching from Scalp Med to Provillus? I'm hesitant to change, but a lower price would be great.

117. Sean Says:

whats up all? the pill of provillus gives ur body what u need to help grow ur hair. it travels through ur bloodstream. with taking the pill and using 5 percent minoxadil with other stuff mix with it ,it turns out it helps hair to grow back...

118. James Says:

Dear Sean:

I have tried several products, to no avail. I have not tried Provillus, and will spend the money this last time. However, I have a serious problem. I am trying to et a refund back from Scalp Med. They have all these stipulations on how their product should be returned using the original shipping box they sent it to me in. I have the box where all the products go into that has slots for each container. But, I don't have the bigger box that the smaller box fits into with the return address on it.

The smaller box is quite acceptable, and I have a larger Fed Ex box just like the original container that Scalp Med shipped it into that I can print the address on. It seems I am not getting email replies to my questions to Scalp Med as to where to send the box to. I called and got an address in Calrksville, TN, but I have a suspicion that it is not the correct address.

I am planning to take legal measures against this company because their product caused sores on my head if they do not offer a reasonable compsensation for my medical costs and refund the price of the product. It's still within the guarantee stage. I only have 3-days to ship their product back. Is there anyway you can provide information about the company?

Sincerely,

James P. Joyce

119. Jeff Says:

I've been using Nioxin (shampoo/conditioner) for about a year and half to two years. Even though it's pricy, the large bottles of the cleanser and the scalp thearpy lasted me that long. I recently ran out of both a few weeks ago and I noticed my hair is less thick, more like less strong. And I notice my bald spots alot more. It won't necesarily grow back your hair, but it does make it look fuller and it makes your hair stronger. I'm going to continue to us it but I'd like to try the provillus with it for hair regrowth, thanks for the suggestion.

120. Nichole Says:

For anyone who was wondering out there, Restoration Hair is a big scam and DOES NOT WORK! I just purchased Provillus about a week ago and have been using it, I haven't seen any results yet, but I will let you know as soon as I do. It's only been a week though. This website was so encouraging, that I had to try this product.

121. Jonny Says:

I have been using Provillus for 1.5 months... i know its working but i am unsure if i am aplying it correctly... one dropper seems to not me enough... is there a trick to appluing?

122. JAOS Says:

Hello, I'm a hairy guy and I'm afraid the pills will make my hair grow on the wrong places instead of my balding head, any advice?

123. Larry Schwartz Says:

Well, I've read every comment on this page and one thing is for sure. If you're looking for the magic solution, there isn't one. I was considering Scalpmed, but won't know. As for Provillus, we'll see. I've been bald for a long time so do not know if anything is going to work, but if I do try Provillus, I'll let everyone know how it goes. Good luck to all. We're all in the same boat.

124. maria Says:

well i have been using provillus for 2 months now, still nothing. my hair is still falling. every week i notice my hair falling more and more. my hair is so thin, weak and very brittle i am only 25 years old and the way my hair is falling i'll be completly bald by next year. this is not sexy for a female. ( very depressed). by the way the drop makes my scalp very itchy..

125. Pat Says:

Hey great article, I'm 21 and my hair is receding at the front. Like comment 76 I'm wondering if I start this product early enough I will be able to regrow my hair or will I just maintain my hair. And why don't doctors promote this product if it's so amazing. I'm thinking about using avodart or propecia but I'm scared of all the side effects and it's expensive, should I try this Provillus first?

126. Anna Says:

Maria, stick with it. You will see results near week 5. I did.

127. stugatz Says:

can anyone tell me if provillus works in front area?

128. Alphonses Says:

How does provillus compare to a well known DHT Blocker,

propecia.

129. OSCAR Says:

Ok, maybe it's a stupid question, but if the product affects somehow to the hormones (testosterone), wouldn't affect too to the libido?

130. jp Says:

where can i get the product and the price please

131. oliver Says:

Topical solutions usually do not work best on the front of the head but works best on top of the head.

132. D Says:

I understand that when you stop using Rogaine you loose the hair regrowth you achieved.

133. Steve Says:

Thank you for the review Sean, you've peaked my interest, my only question is...

How does Provillus compare to Propecia?

134. Logan Says:

so you haven't tried ScalpMed - correct?

135. Terrence Says:

..intersting reviews. Has anyone that has tried Provillus experienced good results under 6 months? Has this product fully restored your hair? What are the side effects?

136. Hany Says:

I am 26 and loosing my hair really bad, will this thing work??...I am not bald yet..but I can see my scalp now

137. Annmarie Says:

I was wondering about a comment that Cindy made regarding a different formula for women. Do you know if it is safe to use while you are nursing?

138. yolanda gonzales Says:

chris- wut du u think about the lazer comb? yolanda

139. Chuck Says:

I have been using Propecia and I have never heard of either Provillus or Procerin. I am willing to try Provillus, but I have to know if anyone thinks Provillus is better than Propecia.

140. Mark Says:

As a real stickler regarding side effects of drugs I decided to avoid the 2 P's and instead went to Restore which is an all natural vitamin solution. I have been on it for under a month and no results yet.I did try Minox a while back and noticed new growth but the side effects turned me off. I am thinking about Scalp Med but not sure if it is Minox based. Anyone have an idea about that?

141. Aetapaepae Says:

Hey Guys,

I've been losing my hair for about a year now and using Provillus for two months now and this stuff is ALL it says and more. My beautician can't believe the amount of hair that's grown in such a short amount of time! I started to see results in the first month! The sooner you get it the better! Oh yeah, I'm a girl!!!!

142. jd Says:

Have any women or men noticed a reduction in libido as a result of use of Provillus?

143. Steve Says:

Hi, I read that Zinc by itself has been shown to be helpful for the balding person however not when you are using minoxidil. What can you tell me about this.

144. JI Says:

Hi all,

I am a 23 year old male balding rapidly. I took Propecia for a year and it gave me gynecomastia, two enlarged bumps under my nipples. Beware

145. maria Says:

well i have been using provillus for 2 months now, still nothing. my hair is still falling. every week i notice my hair falling more and more. my hair is so thin, weak and very brittle i am only 25 years old and the way my hair is falling i'll be completly bald by next year. this is not sexy for a female. 147. Luke Jimenez Says:

What about Profollica or Revivogen? Any info on those? Thanks.

Luke.

148. Jason Says:

Hello friends:

Have anyone tried Scalp med. They are also giving money back guarantee for their products. It is spray you do on your hair instead of taking pills. It doesn't have any side ffects.

How about Provillus pills... Does it have any side effects.

Please advise on these two products. Thanks

149. sherry Says:

I am interested to know if you can use other products with Provillus? Can you use the scalp treatment....Nioxin?

150. alice Says:

Where do you get Provillus? How much is it? Thank you.

151. tim h Says:

to no. 121 i have been using less than 2 mo. 1st week i called the co. because the directions on bottle were to vague. yes, 1 dropper 2 times aday through the hair touching scalp. at 1st i put on hair itself and was so sticky i thought i could not comb it. i just rub on the open skin area and just let drip onto thin hair area on scalp not the hair. i cannot see it but feels like small hair stubble on open skin area.

152. Kevin Says:

Has anyone tried Zulvera? Herbal Shampoo?? Does this product really work or is it a scam?? I have ordered zulvera just a day ago. Until now, I research a bit more and got to this page interesting topic about Provillus.?? But any way, please give info about zulvera???????

154. mike Says:

i just started on provillus, nut i think its much better than rogain.i hate the nasty gunk feeling in my hair with rogain, provillus feels much better .

155. anthony Says:

I have a question about Provillus, I'm sure you are aware that if you stop using rogain, then the hairloss will start coming back within 6 months.. is it the same with Provillus? Is Provillus a lifetime supplement or are the results permanent after a prolonged period of taking Provillus? And if Provillus is a lifetime commitment then are there any risks of taking it, especially if you start at a youger age in the long run? If you could please shed some information/wisdom, I would be grateful, i left my e-mail address in the appropriate box.

156. mikey Says:

i did alot of studying on the hair products and i tryed rogain, and now im trying provillus and let me tell u the way things are looking provillus is awsome no lie

157. Nichole Says:

To Maria and Sean,

Maria, please stick with this product! You will see a change before the second bottle is empty. I was frustrated at first too and saw little change, my hair continued to shed profusely. By the time I almost emptied the second bottle, my hair quit shedding and is growing back at an alarming rate, no lie!! Yes, I am a female. Thanks so much for this website Sean, I really appreciate it and this product!

158. Elizabeth Says:

Hi Sean, and guys

I am considering Provillous. However, I have 2 concerns 1) What are the side effects of the pill in a person who has Multiple Sclerosis? 2) Will Provillous cause hair growth in other body parts besides the scalp?

164. smallfyh Says:

Wow! I can't believe that I stumbled unto this site just in time. I too just seen the infomecial on ScalMed and was about to purchase it. Reading these comments stopped me dead in my tracks, and believe me when I tell you that I am a serious skeptic. Anyways, I appreciate all of the above comments. I too have the concerns of 1) Will provillus grow hair in unwanted places 2) Are there any side effects 3) How will it work in combination with chemically treated hair? Any answers will be appreciated. I will order this product as my last shot and will also post the results.

166. SUE A. SMITH Says:

IF YOU HAVE ANY SENSE AT ALL YOU WILL HAVE NOTHING AND I MEAN NOTHING TO DO WITH SCALP MED. ALL IT IS IS A BIG RIP OFF AND YOU CANNOT GET ANY ASSISTANCE IF YOU CANNOT USE IT.

BELIEVE ME, I HAVE BEEN RIPPED OFF FOR OVER $900.00. THAT IS THE GOD'S TRUTH!!!!

Well Sean, I don't know what to say except you look pretty hot to me! Maybe focus on how good you look as God made ya b/c I'd take you home to mom. Thanks for the update. As a woman who's looking into these issues, your advice, as well as everyone else's comments, have been helpful.

173. Renee' Says:

AVA-

I've tried them all too- the conventional to the bizarre.

My latest attempt was the Scalp Med. I hope you haven't WASTED your money (160 or so dollars) on this product! Like many have said - who has the time for twice a day applications and (my experience) was that it left my hair WET, GUMMY and my scalp irritated. I can't say that I will try the Provillus or Procerin- I'm extremely weary at this point- but I appreciate the dialog of this site.

To all the women sufferers (and guys too) stay encouraged-

our hair (or lack there of) does not define us!

174. PHIL Says:

Brian (#171), very interested in your experience with provillus. Are you in your 20s, 30s? have you tried other products?

175. Marjorie F Says:

Has anyone heard of or used Crudeoleum from The Heritage? It is pure Pennsylvania crude oil! No s...!

176. Dustin Says:

I have no history of hair loss on my Dad or Moms side of the family. When I was 19 I used some black hair dye and soon after I could see some of my hair coming out for the next few months. So now I have a hair line somewhat similar to say Bruce Willis. I am wondering if Provillus will work for me?

Thanks for the info...

177. Devan Says:

HI am completely bald and I have been using a wig for the last ten years. i would like to know if Provillus will work for me and regrow some hair that I can live with. I am getting very frustrated with the wig, the maintenance and expense. Anybody with this problem and experience please help me.

178. artspeaks Says:

I'm a woman in my 60s, still trying to grow my hair back, been falling out alarmingly lately. Started when I was 12, got much worse at menopause - inherited from my mother. Does anyone have experience with MSM? That worked well for me once, then I stopped taking it. Anyone have before & after pics, especially women who do Provillus?

179. UptownGirl Says:

To Shant, don't waste your money on thermage. What a joke that procedure is.

180. kawania Says:

Im not going bald. I'm looking for a hair product to grow my hair longer. Do you gave any suggestions? IT would really be appreciated. Thanks

181. mikey Says:

182. MC Says:

I don't know what the rest of you look like, but Sean you're a good looking guy, you should count your blessings you're not ugly and bald... but actually very sexy, handsome and so what "bald".

183. Ann Says:

Thanks for an informative website. Please try to respond to some of the posts...the questions are similar for most of us so it would be helpful. Also, do you think taking bio-identical estrogen therapy would have benefit to women losing their hair as a consequence of menopause? And how long do the follicles stay viable? Why is it so difficult to regrow the frontal hairline? Does anyone know?

184. alvita Says:

Whatever you do DON'T join the Hairclub. They tell you your hair is dead and they shave your head and GLUE a hair piece on your head. The thing gave me migraine headaches and looked ridiculous. It starting coming off. I went back. They put some stuff on my head that really burned. Then they stuck a razor like thing under the hair piece and started jabbing it trying to get it off. They glued it back on. My head hurt so bad I soaked in the tub for hours until the thing became loose enough I could yank it off. I REALLY hurt. I told them I didn't want it and wanted out of the contract. They sold my loan I got with them to JOIN the club. cost $1,600! The loan company they sold it to kept calling and threatening to sue if I didn't pay. I finally filed bankruptsy to get out of the contract. It is mostdefinitely a scam.

185. JDK Says:

For anyone who wants to order Provillus who does not live in the United States, you CAN NOT order the topical hair serum. They will only send the vitamin supplements out of the U.S., not the serum (they claim issues with customs). Please be aware of this when ordering as they do not tell you this on the website.

186. Gulcan Says:

Thank you. It is a great product! Atleast the falling stopped.

187. mikey Says:

to 183,ann... you know what thats a good question but i see my receding hairline getting filled in with hair. i think its alot harder to grow hair back on a receding hairline than on top of the head. but its working for me. well i started losing some hair 2 years ago thats probally why its growing quick for me its was not that long ago..well l8ter

188. Anthony Says:

I have tried Procerin for 6 months... does not work. I will be trying Provillus. I'm crossing my fingers.

189. debb Says:

Today I read about this product and I feel that it might work for me I felt it was stress. I really will give it a try. How long has it been or the market?

190. Laura Says:

Y'all, don't use Nioxin! There is NO PROOF behind it, and even their advertising says that "9 out of 10 people PERCEIVED a thickening effect." Well, if you use the whole system, yeah...because the scalp treatment spray really coats your hair, even makes it a little thick-feeling. But it's all superficial. I actually LOST a lot of hair while using it!!! It's not worth the $. What does work though is learning to pray more & worry less, eat better, de-stress & find good coping mechanisms & educate yourself on what's out there. I hear that Thymuskin is more effective for ladies than guys, and was originally started for use w/cancer patients. That being said, though, I haven't tried it yet; it's really expensive. As are laser combs, and they aren't entirely proven. Just be aware, talk to others, and also learn to love yourself! None of us by worrying can make things better, but we can sure put ourselves through unnecessary griefs that way!

191. Monica Says:

I've been using Provillus for about 4 months now and I still don't have any new hair. I've noticed my hair is stronger and doesn't fall out as much anymore. Will this product take 5 or 6 months to see results? I'm a 27 year old female. Will I have to keep taking the product to keep the results or is it a one time deal? Any feedback would be great.

Thanks

192. nguyen Says:

hi everybody!

it seems like alot people have loss hair, i see my mom used to use some liquid to apply to her hair. I ask her what it is for, she say it will help to regrow her hair. I dont know it is work or not, but she say it works for her. Your guy can make this kind of mix at home and try it once a week( do not use too much), the mix includes 1 tea spoon of honey,1/2 tea spoon of ginger, and 2 tea spoon of milk. Mix them together and apply on scalp, take some thing like plastic bag to cover your hair and wait for about 2 hour before taking a bath. the result will see after 10 weeks, and remember just doing once a week, good luck.

193. Felicia Says:

Sean,

wish everytime I make a major/semi-major purchasing decision for some product I want to buy through an infomercial, there'd be a site I can refer to first on the legitimacy of the product and if it does what it says it can. I want to buy Scalp Med, it is the product that comes with the shampoo, conditioner, and tonic? I tried Rogaine too, I would say I got the minimalist results but it cleaned away my scalp nicely, gave me a new canvas to procede with, and now I use all natural oils and my follicles are germinating so quickly it itches like crazy. I know that keratin and proteins like in MSM make the hair, the vitamins make it thicker, soybeans make it last, and lab-based products ought to have some keyword ingredients you are looking for and you know when reading the ingredients:potency (amount of a substance)goes from highest to lowest amounts. Can't forget scalp massages they give confidence to dormant skin cells and fibers that need to reach the epidermis.

Why is my computer so slow on this site? Anyway, my hairline started receding when I was about 20. I couldn't even grow a mustache yet. I tried everything. Nothing worked very well. When I reached 35, my head looked really patchy, I was successful, had money and was married with two tots. I decided to do something for myself. I did the research and went to New Hair Institute. I had five people working on me for 12 hours. I got 1200 folical transplants. This was done by Dr, Jones in Palo Alto back in 1998. It turned out great. The best thing I ever did. But post surgery was a bitch. No support at all. My wife had to remove the stitches. My head a nd face swelled up for a month- I could not go out. It was scarey. But when it finally healed up, it was great. Now after 9 years I may need to go back as my pattern baldness has continued. I am reluctant to go through it again but I hear that the techniques have improved much since then with the FOX method. So my recommendation is to check out NHI and use monoxidil or Provillus to maintain a full head of hair over your balding career. You will need both to obtain the optimum result. But I have to say that that as I get older, priorities change and hair is not as important to me. I have found that my inside is much more important that outward appearance when it comes to relationships and making friends.

199. Bob05 Says:

My experience, any shampoo created for hair loss does not work, yes having a clean scalp is a better enviroment for hair grown but will not make a difference in the hair loss. I have used shampoos and nothing, I got a Hair Restoration at boesly, results well good but the price is a little high. But with a HR will not stop hair loss that's why in the HR center I was told the only way to treat hair loss is having from one to three HR procedures between years beacuse hair will keep on falling and of course the other remedies Propecia, Rogaine and now the lasercomb wich are FDA approved. In my personal opinion I don't like drugs so Propecia is out of the picture I am taking saw palmetto for prostate health and if works for hair loss then great, Rogaine to messy and lasercomb haven't try it yet but I am thinking in giving a shot to delay hair loss and if I get a second HR procedure will be at 40 or later I am 30 now my first HR was at 28. But no pill or blen of anything will do anything only , FDA products works and HR nothing else, yes saw palmetto perhaps is not proved yet but other blen of vitamins or anything like it will be a waste of money. Yes getting a multivimin daily and good diet help in overall health but directly excess of vitamins for hair loss or herbs will not make a difference. At least that's my point of view and all I had mention here is based in experience and in words mention to me by a dermatologist and the boesly physician that treat me.

200. Bryon Says:

Everyone is different. The treatment required for one will not necessarily work for another; similarly, one treatment that doesn't work (sucks/scam) is not necessarily a scam for another. The key to your decision MUST start with the reason and location of hair loss: heredity, diet (nutrition), environment, emotion/stress, medicine taken, hormone production (or lack thereof), how often and the manner in which your scalp is washed/condition for your degree of lanolin production. There are so many reasons for hair loss. Reversing the loss for the above reasons can include any or in combination of the usual remedies you see on this site and on TV. Nutritionists, doctors and you should decide the course. In short, do any of the products mentioned work? Absolutely. However, they may not work for you. Do not get discouraged, and seek the answer as to why you are losing your hair. If it is because of heredity, you have fewer options than if it is because of diet or taking medicines (which can be fairly easily changed). If your pores are being clogged, nutrition, topical and circulatory options all need to be used. If nothing helps and you are already "bald," consider surgical implants. If you can't afford that, consider a wig or some other means of artificially putting on the appearance of hair. ...or just go bald and come to terms with your new appearance.

I am currently using procerin. It has been 2 months. I don't see any results yet. Am i supposed to return it before the end of 3 months for reimburement ??

Wonderful review Sean!! I am going to order provillus..

I am also looking out for a shampoo which does not dry out my scalp( right now i am using Dove which causes dandruff when used with procerin )....After researching i found Montana and zulvera ( both herbal shampoo's and seems like nothing to loose - not expensive or not much side effects )

Any other ideas on shampoo's to use with provillus/procerin ?

202. Tone Says:

I'm about to order provillus since my hair has started to thin at 20 years old and well...I want it to stop. I like the idea of natural vitamins you take and not stuff you smear on your head twice a day. I really just wanted to see if this is the open discussion forum it appears to be or if it's a provillus-run forum that gets edited to make provillus look good. I'll wait till I hear some feedback to order provillus.

Thanks to everybody for commenting though, it's nice to have a support system of internet buddies isn't it?

203. Very Ashamed Says:

I have the same concerns as Pat.125

Hey great article, I'm 21 African American Female and my hair is receding at the front/sides.

204. Todd A Perkins Says:

Hey. I'm 40 years old and my hair is starting to thin out. I just saw you advertisment on T.V. today. I won't to try something, but I won't the right thing. Please send me some info on your product.

Thanks for all the feedback! have you ever heard of an herbal shampoo called Zelvura? I have had alot of strong feedback on this product just wanted to see if you have as well? you seem to have the low down and for someone like me (as well for you) it becomes a very expensive desperate journey. Some days you just want to bend over and say Yeah stick it right hear..... I am useto taking in the a--. I wish I could come up with the magic to it all so I could really help people. It is very painfull and heartbreaking. I plan to open a salon geared for people with hair loss issues. A Trychology enviroment with relaxation hair masks all natyural as well as facials for people to come and relax. Stress makes it worse. My hair styles will be so that I will allow my clients to know how to create body and work with what they have. Knowing products that work will help them to achieve real results instead of dead end promises. Having the right haircut and products will help ease the pain of thinning or balding heads. It is time to stop ripping people off on there hardships. Hair extensions kill the hair and the only reasonable hairpieces are add ins that you take out daily or wigs. Stay away from Extensions they only hurt not help. Please keep us abreast on the product scams I am glad I found your site I ordered provillus. Do you use the solution on the scalp or just the pill form, or both?

207. Ronnie Says:

I have tried everything. I even had transplants(Five Sessions, including two scalp reductions) over the past 15 years. I've run out of donor hair and I currently wear a hair piece that looks really good to cover the balding areas. Here are things that I have tried over the last 10 years to no avail: Propecia,Avacor,Procerin, and a couple of other online products that didn't help. I have seen some thickness and small coverage over the past year using the Laser Comb. I think that the Procerin may have helped a little because I've been using it for a year, but I am about to try Procellin due to some of the lastest info that I have seen on it. I used Rogaine 15 years ago when it first came out, but I couldn't keep up with the regime of twice per day usage on a consistent basis. I was actually getting ready to try Scalpmed when I came across this site. I'm 45 years old, in great shape and I just want enough of my hair back to look natural. The transplants have covered a lot, but I need more on the crown of my head. I enjoy reading about other guys in the same boat as me and appreciate their experiences.

Just ordered lasercomb and will post its effects. All or nothing!

A MUST READ

Im 26 and have been using procerin for about a three years. I did study my options and will continue to, i found most topical products to be crap, but i honestly think i would be bald without procerin in the pill form. My hair feels and looks stronger, i have regrown some hair and feel a lot better about my situation(all that matters). Although im fairly happy w procerin im going to switch to provillus because of recent research. I also have a twin brother who uses shampoos and other topicals, he isnt near as satisfied with his results, I think he is going to the pills. As a final note, if you are JUST STARTING to lose your hair, or fed up with your hair loss BUY one of these products today, and thank me later. TRUST ME

212. Chester Says:

Hi,all. Interesting blog entry. Let me share my story with you, as it may help shed some light here. I started losing my hair at around 23 years old. It increased slowly but surely, and now at 34, I lost a huge amount of it in the course of a month or two. Could be stress, diet, whatever. What I do know is that when I was 32, I'd tried some LIVER FLUSHES, which I later read can cause you to lose hair when the liver is in detox phase. AT 32, I did notice a good amount of hair had thinned out, and I've been fighting harder ever since.

I am 25 and have a thinning hair line. Recently i spent 5000 bucks not on surgery only laser treatments and products through a hair solution place.I am very dissapointed with the results but i will give provillus a go. Also i have read an article on an excess amount of certain hormones affect hair loss but if your liver is functioning properly it will keep hormones under control

217. A. Valdez Says:

ZINC!!!! I have a teenage child who has trouble with hair growth, it is slow. I had a baby 3 months ago and hormonal changes caused hair changes like crazy. We both started taking my left over prenatal vitamins (guys I am sure just a zinc supplement will do for you but a prenatal vitamin never killed anyone) and my hair is thicker and stronger and there are only 25mg of zinc in that vitamin but that provides 150% of the daily requirement. It is recommended not to take more than 50mgs per day - for those of you who are ambitious and desperate. TRY IT - let me know if it works for ya.

218. Hatlady Says:

So, has anybody had good results using Scalpmed? I am considering trying it. I tried Rogaine but I experienced

220. Randy Says:

I just started noticing a lot of hair loss in the last 6 months spread across most of the top of my head. I have been using Nioxin, but it is expensive and not yet seeing results. i am going to try 6 months of Provillus and also a 6 month supply of Nutrifolica. Anyone ever used Nutrifolica? It is all natural and it is applied topically at night. I figured using an internal product with an external product would give me the best results.

221. Dawn-April Says:

To those who posted a question about Shen Min #112 & 113: Shen Min is all natural (herbal) and should have no contraindications with provillus.

Has anyone on this blog had a dermatologist rule out genetics? This is a pretty important factor in treating the loss. For women, have your adrenals checked and ask yourself if you have any digestive issues. Adrenal fatigue is the leading cause of hair loss in women AS LONG AS the genetics/hereditary factors have been ruled out.

I had a scalp plug biopsy to determine if my "all-over" hair loss was from nutritional deficiencies or genetics. The plug came back showing all was healthy - rad tech said "sorry, but there's nothing you can do".

I've noticed that when I take adrenal support (stressful lifestyle) I have less fallout and new growth, albeit fine, coming in.

Remember that losing hair is a normal process and approx 100 hairs a day is normal. When we start thinning we freak and ANY hair loss is viewed as traumatic.

If you are chosing to take a pill, check the ingredients and research them to find out how they may or may not affect your overall health and wellness. The best approach is an educated one!

Blessings to all!

Dawn

Hedy, #63, who is the 2-doc team in Canada that did such a great job with hair restoration?

223. Devin Says:

RESTORATION HAIR IS A SCAM

I started noticing hair loss about 3 years ago. I'm an african american male who wore dread locks for many years. Over te last 3 years i've tried everything from Propecia, Procerin, Laser Scalp treatments, and even Restoration HAIR. The other three have had effects on my hair overall, but i do get lazy and do not do them everyday. When i was using Propecia and Procerin together I noticed great results. I'd recomend trying that combo with using the Propecia every other day and the Procerin daily.

Does anyone know of a good shampoo/conditioner that helps hair growth or stops thinning hari? Please can anyone help? I'm a 28 year old female. My hair is thinning on the side. I don't know the reason.

231. Suzanne Says:

Thanks all, for the tips on what companies to avoid! (I always wondered what Hairclub was all about, too!)

Someone asked about hat-wearing and hair loss. I read recently in Prevention magazine that men shouldn't exercise and then pop on a ball cap. The sweat plus the hormones secreted from the scalp during exercise are a detrimental combo. Rinse your head off even if you can't shower (I wouldn't use that harsh soap the gyms provide, but rinsing with water would probably do the trick).

A woman asked about these types of products and nursing. You shouldn't use most hair replacement pills or topical supplements when you are pregnant or nursing. The prenatal vitamin is an exception, of course.

I'm still researching for my husband. I am concerned that some of these products may have long term side-effects that are far worse than a slightly bald husband. "Natural" doesn't always mean "beneficial."

I encourage everyone to see a doctor before buying hair regrowth products, because some hair loss is normal (after the birth of a baby), during stressful times or chemo and your hair may naturally recover. Or, hair loss may be a sign of a serious health problem.

I've also been afraid that my hair is thinning and had some blood tests to rule out the non-genetic factors. (Tests came back normal.)

238. John G Says:

I used Provillus for about 10 months and I continued to lose throughout, back to propecia and my hair loss has stabilized and I am seeing new growth...didn't work for me.

239. Yoli Says:

I am a black woman in my late 40's. I've been blessed with thick, curly, long, frizzy hair. Pain to deal with some times but nice to have. In the last year my hair started falling out in huge hunks. I couldn't figure out why. I thought it was due to the dryer climate I recently moved to. I went to 2 stylists and consulted my sister who is a stylist. One finally told me it was due to the way I'd worn my hair for years, mostly pony tails tied to tightly.

It's difficult to work with hair in your face all the time. Pony tails were more comfortable. In addition, it's dry as a bone. The stylist recommended Nioxin, he's balding too at a young age. When I went to find the site I ended up on this one to read the results. Sounds like Nioxin isn't the way to go. I'm not sure about any of these products. I'm always leery about ingesting products especially if they haven't been approved by the FDA.

Side effects are something I'd want to know about for sure as I tend to develope them from products that are chemically based. This Provillus sounds like it might help. My hair hasn't grown back no matter what I've done including spending hords of $$ on moisturizing products. They just make my hair really frizzy which is why I never used them before. I need something to get the hair growth stimulated. I will look into this product and study it before buying it. I wish all of you well in your search. It is a horrible experience to lose your hair, and not know how to make it grow back healthy and strong again at any age. Thanks Micheal for the review. It helped me a lot. Thank all of you for the opinions, those are very helpful too.

Shen Min worked wonders for me. I did not have a problem with hair loss, my problem was excessive graying at a young age. It worked within a month, the added benefit was increase in my hair length. Results will vary I suppose, but thing is for sure you have to stick with it. Incidentally, I was also taking another supplement for my overall health

(Sun Chorella), so maybe one enhanced the other.(?)

247. mikey Says:

#238 john g didi u stated losing here on the top our all over? didint see any results?

248. Marc Says:

I am a 50 y.o. male. I always had hair but in the past year, probably due to some hart medication my hair was falling and also was thinning. I was at the point that I could have seen bold spots on the top of my head. And it was getting worse by the day. So, like many people I started to see what was available on the internet to try to stop my hair loss. I am very skeptical by nature and all the products I was finding on line had good reviews and bad once. It was very confusing. Anyway, I had decided that I had to try something. At least I could have told myself that I had done anything possible. I really did not want to use Rogaine, becasue mot of the reviews were saying how messy the product is and it did not seem that the results were that astonoshing anyway. Furthermore, everyone stated that, unless you keep applying Rogain, you would loose whatever hair growth (if any)you had gained. So, after days of research I had come to the conclusion that the two products that I wanted to try were Procerin and Provillus. They both seemed very similar in terms of ingredients, and both had the same amount of good and bad reviews. I did not know which one to choose so, litterally I tossed a coin and the faith choose Provillus.

I took the first two pills (you suppose to take two pills a day) exactly the 10th of January of this year (2008).And these are the results:

After only one week, my hair stopped falling and I started noticing that may hair was becoming healthier. However, I did not want to build myself up with excitement and be gratly disappointed. So, I waited a couple of more weeks. The results were becoming more visible. By the way, I have never used Provillus topical solution. Just the pills. The reason is that I really did not want to use a product with minoxidil, being afraid that my hair would smell. Encouraged by the success I was having with Provillus, I decided to combine pills (as a nutritional factor) to a good shampoo. And again, after eveluating what was on the market I have decided to go with nisim. For the past week I have used the shanpoo, the extract and the conditioner. I don't know how much Nisim is helping, however I can tell to everyone in this forum, that my bald spots ar disappearing, my hair look much, much healthier than just 6 weeks ago and I truly hope that the success I am having, continues.

There are two things I need to state. My hair is still groing, so I do not know if the products I have mentioned would work for people who are completely bold or whose follicle are dead. Also, I am taking Omega 3 supplement (one pill a day that I am buying at Wallgreen). I was taking Omega 3 before I started the redgiment with Provillus and Nisim and I was not taking it becasue of hair loss. However, I was reading that omega 3 may improve, with the general health, also the health of the hair.

I hope that someone will find these information helpfull, becasue I know how much hair loss can effect everyone self-esteem.

Marc

Thank you so much for this website, I stumbled across it while doing a search for medscalp. Seems Provillus is the best deal out there....I'm planning on ordering some and rolling the dice.

I'm 42 and family genetics are finally catching-up to me. Both my brothers are bald and yet I've only had some crown-thinning and recently some serious frontal recession. I was thinking this is life and get over it, but now I have reason to figure there's some hope...so we'll see.

For what it's worth, I've been doing a lot of swimming and I would fiure the chlorine in the water isn't doing much for my hair. I use a chlorine-removal shampoo....but the effects of chlorine being absorbed into the skin are still an issue. Oh well, health is more important then hair....but hopefully provillus will lessen the problem or even improve things.

Thank you for the info on scalp med. I've come to terms with my hair lost, I don"t wear hats anymore, or go crazy trying to hide the problem. So now i"m working out, loosing weight. I figure if I can"t be a hot mama with long thick hair I can be a hot mama with no hair. The best part is knowing that I'm not alone, thank goodness for this web site. Good luck and GOD BLESS YOU ALL. YOUR FRIEND IN TORRANCE

DO NOT TAKE PROPECIA. It causes terrible sexual side effects, and depression. That is a fact. When you start messing with hormones, you are taking a big risk that you don't need to take. You may get a little hair, or a nice hairy back. But you will also get depressed, both mentally, and sexually...BE CAREFUL!

I tried rogaine, both the liquid and the foam. After six frustrating months, I realized I was wasting my time.

I am going to try provillus because there is so much positive feedback here. In the meantime, I'm saving up for the hair transplant surgery. I figure I can do this in progressive sessions, X amount of follicles transplanted from the back of my head to the top and front.

IF ANYONE HAS HAD HAIR TRANSPLANT SURGERY, I'D REALLY LIKE TO KNOW HOW THE BACK OF YOUR HEAD LOOKS AND IF IT SHOWS.

THANKS!

DECIDED TO RETURN TO MY PREVIOUS REGIME OF VITAMINS, REG. SHAMPOOING AND MOST IMPORTANTLY REGULAR SCALP MASSAGE, AND MY HAIR ARE A LITTLE THICKER ON TOP AND CROWN AREA. I am a little hastey about purchasing an hair product...I am only 20 and my hair is only thinning really and I scared to make the wrong purchase...Also i am a black male...Which option is better PROVILLUS OR PROCERIN

261. mikey Says:

i used provillus and didint really work for me. my hair is still thinning out on top but a lil hair grow were my receding hairline is. i think i had even more hair fall faster on top of my head while using it. i used it for 6 7 motnhs and failed. im 22 not that bald but pobally will be in a couple months. best thing i can come up with is taking vitmans

262. vawa74 Says:

In responce to the comment by Ginny (#254) "DO NOT TAKE PROPECIA. It causes terrible sexual side effects, and depression. That is a fact." Well that is a little a matter of fact and doom and gloom. Do you go to auto dealer boards and write "DO NOT DRIVE, you will crash and die. That is a fact." The purpose of a board like this is to help people and give facts, not scare them. While there are side effects with ALL medications, they do not affect everyone in every way; if at all. I have been taking Propecia for 4 years and have never had any sexual side effects, been depressed or have a hairy

back... I have seen a small improvement in hair growth, but most important to note, is that, for me, the hair loss stopped....

263. Carl Says:

I used scalp med for a year and it didn't work.It was a waste of money.

264. Robert Curtis Says:

My name is Robert,

Thank you soooo Much for your Informational website it's has help me.

Robby

265. Josue Arroyo Says:

Thank you so much for the positive comments and reviews on Provillus. I just started using this product a month ago and still have not seen any results. In fact, my hair just continues to fall off as before. However, I've read how I have to be patient and give it at least 6 months to see positive results. So I am HOPING that this stuff does work for me because I do not want to loose my hair. Please wish me LUCK!

266. Earl Says:

Didnt work for me!

267. efua Says:

I am an african-american whose hair is falling out and breaking because of over processed hair(relaxers, curling irons),i just wanna know if provillus will work for me.thanks

268. Matthew Says:

I have never used this poduct before so I can,t say one way or the other. thanks.

269. alli Says:

Has any one used scalpmed, if so please let me know, honestly how good or no good this product is?

270. Erik Says:

I don’t know if this site is cheaper, but I ordered provillus here:

www.healthbuy.com

270. Rob Says:

Reading almost 300 pieces of input is tiring...but helpful. I may have overlooked the question so hopefully someone can help answer directly upon reading this..."Can propoecia be used with Provillus or ScalpMed without issues?"

271. Angie E. Foust Says:

I hope this site is here 6 months from now so that I will be abel to share my results with provillus to you all.

272. randall Says:

to Randy (52),Natalie (99), and Mario (256). In 2005, and again in 2006 I had Hair Restoration Surgery at Bosley. The donor site is still numb. But, it does not show. Remember, the reason for the hair loss is not corrected. My transplanted hair continues to fall out! I now have $18,000.00 in a "comb over".

273. Roger Says:

Whatever product you are trying, give it a long enough time to work. This could be anywhere from a few weeks to 6 months or longer and be different with different people and the reasons for the baldness. Also what works for one may not work for another. I have friends who have tried different products with different results. Some of the products out there are pure scams, others have some beneficial attributes. Scalp Med has worked well for me and another friend, but others who I know have not had much luck with it. I'm inclined to try Provillus. A couple of friends have found it effective. Because there are different causes of baldness and differences in ourselves, there is no one solution for all, and for some, maybe none. Also be aware of side effects. These can vary from person to person. Also if you dye or perm your hair this can have interactive effects. You just need to do research and use the old trial and error method to see which works best for you. PS: My dermatologist also suggested I should use Johnson's baby shampoo.

274. tv Says:

What about light laser treatment ?

275. Mary Says:

Hi Sean,

Do you know if Horsetail and Ginger are good for scalp stimulation for producing hair growth?

276. DWA Says:

Don't worry, Sean, you're hot even without hair

277. Yen Says:

Got few hairs back

278. Raven Cocchi Says:

Thankyou Everyone for insightful stories, I appreciate it! Nearly 40 years ago my mom, thankfully, thinned my very thick hair so I could comb it. Mother Nature, uninvited, over the past 10 years has stolen half my hair - I have too long detested this and the ensuing emotional turmoil! A few minutes ago my husband said look at the infomercial selling a hair growth product - Scalp Med. My first reaction was to find out more online where, luckily,I also found valuable stories of caution. How to win the hair quest? DHT blocking sounds key, along with smart support from B-vitamins, biotin, coQ enzyme 10, digestive enzymes, pro-biotics, sleep, water, exercise. Avoid plastic containers as much as possible, consult herbalists/naturopaths/healthful food stores for correct herbs in shampoos and conditioners. Keeping winning the anti-oxidant/anti-aging war. Sincerely, Raven

279. junior94 Says:

I just purchase provillus and started using it. it works great

280. Amelia Says:

Does provillus really work?

281. Steve Says:

Scalp Med is a rip off. I signed up for a 2 month supply for the introductory offer of $14.95 When I got the product the invoice was for an additional $174.75 If I use and keep it.

282. Olga Says:

Saw your add on Tv. so i looked it up on line. my friend hair is very thin on the crown of her head, i told her to try your product,i will fallow up on the results.

283. JADE2468 Says:

FOR PEOPLE INTERESTED IN MAKING YOUR HAIR LOOK FULLER/STRONGER/THICKER/AND MANAGABLE, USE MAIN & TAIL SHAMPOO & CONDITIONER, YOU WONT BE SORRY.

284. Carol Says:

I am an african american in my 50s, my hair grows very quickly but have being thinning on the top and around the front hair line, I saw the ad on Scalp Med and was about to check it out before ordering, I'm glad I didn't order before going to your site. It seems to me that Provillus is the product I should try instead of the others. Thanks for the info. I will let you know how it work for me.

285. Gabrielle Says:

Thanks sooo much for the info. My daddy gave up a while ago looking for hair loss treatments because of the inflated prices, so I decided to do some research on different options and products for him. Many of the reviews I come across say that it is an awesome product! I'm going to get it for him as a present! Thanks again!

287. Daniel Says:

I'm 70 and would like to get some of my hair back so I don't have to wear caps all the time. For another reason I started going to a Naturopathic clinic in Portland had snipets of hair sent to a lab, tested for toxic elements and a saliva sampling test over 24hr period. These tests are not expensive for the imformation returned, result was over active Thyroid,,,,,,moral of this story! Get healthy first your hair may come back on its own,if not them try some hair regrowth protocals. DGT

288. sdi Says:

MAIN & TAIL - that's for horses, isn't it?

289. cyn Says:

#217 mentioned the zinc. I heard it mentioned on the news a few weeks ago so it may be worth trying. Also I have used shen min and have rcently started using it again. I was looking at some photos of myself from when I was using them befor and my hair was so dark and shiney that even though my hair was thinning I didn't feel so self concious. And I always got compliments from strangers on the street. So although it was not a cure it definately helped my self esteem. However I did try the shen min dht blocker and was not happy with it. I used it for 3 months and my hair looked awfull. I would wash it in the morning at 7:30 and by 2:30 it was greasy. It looked as if I had not bathed in days. I would come home and look in the mirror and see that my hair was a greasy mess it made me feel awfull. So I would not recomend the shen min dht blocker. All of there other vitamins though are great. I would like to try the provillus. To help with the thinning but am hoping that someone will post some before and after shots so I can see the results first.

290. John Says:

Tried Scalp Med, will I never open the product up, since my wife is a Hairstylist, told me to sent it back.because it doesn't work. So, I did, UPS the pkg back and asked for a refund. So, far Sean ahven't heard from them, plus can't get through on the phone. Do you have an e-mail addres for Scalp Med?? Need help from you or anyone to help me get my money back??? Pls!!!! R/ John

291. help Says:

Im going bald please help me...

292. Dave Says:

I have been using Zulvera Shampoo for just about 2 months now. I bought it after reading a number of sites indicating its success. It was most often ranked with Provillus in the top 3. Well I have to say that I'm quite happy with the results. I noticed the amount of loss in the hair catch was less within the first 2 weeks. Since then I still have a certain amount of loss, but here's the difference. For whatever reason, my hairs in the catch are more often very thin. The thicker hairs I used to have in the drain are MUCH fewer or even nonexistent. The website states that hair growth may be seen after 3 months. Either way, my hair appears thicker and fuller(for certain) and it just feels healthy(unlike other products used). Could it be that the thinner hairs are the primary hairs falling out due to strengthening of follicle and possible new future hair growth?

293. junior94 Says:

The process of using provillus is simple. just take the pill with every meal and apply the solution to the thinning part of the head once in the morning and once at night.the directions are simple..my question is what are the directions you need to take when using scalpmed.can someone please respond so i can make a decision on which one to by..thank you

294. PIT Says:

Has anybody ever tried Thymuskin? Any success?

Just making sure this site is working.

I don't think anything can grow hair, people may waist a lot of money.

296. esh Says:

Thanks,

I have been thinking of trying Provillis. I will give it a try.

Hi!

300. saburns Says:

To those of you here asking about Scalpmed- Do not order it!! I ordered it for my daughter who had a very serious bout w/ tricotillomania (pulling her hair out, little by little.) The so-and-so's at scalpmed sent us the $14.95+ s&h package. I cancelled the remaining amount (on May 20th) because it was not helping, just getting a 15 year olds hopes up. I looked at my account today, and Scalpmed had charged me $79.90 on May 24th, and then turned around and charged my account $159.80 on May 25th. Their product is messy and does not put hair back on your head--only money out of your wallet. Please, Please do not waste your time, nor your hard earned monies on that useless product.

301. larry glen Says:

I'm trying to find out if itchy scalp is common during use of minoxadil please? If so how do I alleviate it? Thank-you for your time...........Larry

302. NJ Says:

303. al p Says:

would be very grateful for and help.. cheers.

304. sheri Says:

The closest thing that I could find to a complaint department for scalpmed on their site at the very top of their page--it says customer service, I believe. I'm in the process of trying to get my money back also. Please let me know if you have better results than I have had! When I ordered, I also asked the lady for a phone number (just in case) The number she gave me was 1-800-203-2719. The other phone number I collected is 1-800-940-1373 although it must be to order the JUNK they are selling.

305. peggy wood Says:

306. Danny Says:

what is better as a topical for overall thinning in the hairlines in front (liquid form),,,,,,,, Reviveogen or Provillus,,,,,,,, I cant take any pills....

307. CJ Says:

Okay then. Just finished reading this long list of stuff, and I must say I am very pleased with what I have learned here, however of course not every question I have has been answered...

1: Those who have used what Provillus offers and I guess have been successful in some way, did you take the pills AND use the formula or whatever it is that is applied to the head?

2: Sorry if this is a dumb question, but I am definately losing hair from genetics (dad is great, mom is bad, mom's dad is bad: one of those cases where I got the mom's genes? grrr.), and I want to know who else who is taking Provillus for this same type of hair loss(whether you have been successful yet or not, because if you are taking it I assume you have done a lot of homework and this is a question posed for the purpose of seeing who all feels this is an appropriate solution to genetic hair loss...=P).

3: Again , I will ask what has been asked. What shampoos would you guys recommend to take with a product like Provillus? I have tried a couple things specifically designed for hair regrowth and I must say I was very unhappy with them in general. There were 3-step solution sorts of things, where you use the shampoo, conditioner, and then after it makes the hair look somewhat normal, the solution goes on, you don't wash it out, and boom you look terrible.

308. Ron S Says:

Rogain works great: Despite what you say Rogain is very effective as a hair growth product. About a year after I noticed a bald spot I gave rogain foam a try. At 18 days of use I noticed light hair re growing. Now after a year and a half of use I have no bald spot. While it may not work for everybody, for me it worked great. Ron

309. MB Says:

Tried it, it didn't work

310. Diana Says:

This is working for me :)

311. mikey Says:

#301 provillus can dry up ur scalp but itching can be anything ..i got the same problem ...i used provillus for 6 months and only saw a lil peachfuzz were receding hairlione is ,now i started to take nisim shamppo and i like it but im still losing hair. but the good thing about nisim for me it works a lil bit.

312. Alx Says:

Ok Guys, you convinced me. I'll give Provillus a try and get back to you for a feedback.

by reading all the comments posted, I realised that a few interesting questions have not been answered yet:

-Does Provillus generate hair growth in other parts of the body than your skull?

-Is it advisable to stop the treatment when having positive results after the first 6 months?

talk to you in 6 months to share with you my experience.

313. Tony23 Says:

I have been using Provillus for a couple of months now and to answer the question about unwanted hair in other locations……I am only seeing new hair growth on my head, nowhere else.

314. bill Says:

GREAT reading ! I went to Bosley twice, have had GREAT results. I am 66 and my hair is fine, the transplanted hair. I live a very healthy life style, no smoking or drinking and work out twice a week (run three miles in 28 minutes, , 100 jumping jacks, etc.)

I REALLy think hair loss and these treatments for hair loss depend on ones DIET and state of health.

Thats my two cents worth,

Good luck all, God Bless,

Bill

315. peter Says:

Sean, I think having this site is great. I have enjoyed Procerin spray mainly as a hair styling product, I certainly wouldn't say it grows hair. I will try the provillus, althought from what I read on the website, it too requires 2 applications a day like rogaine?!?

316. mark simmons Says:

Does this really work and where can I get it.

317. Drew Says:

I have been using Provillus for about 4 months and so far haven't seen any growth. Hmm

318. PDC Says:

I have been using the Nioxin #3 shampoo, rinse and scalp treatment combo for about a month. I see some improvement (thicker hair and few new baby hair) and I am confident of the results.

I have been taking propecia for over 7 years and my hair loss stopped after 3-4 months of treatment, but I didn't get new hair. Propecia works for me, no noticeable side effects; no depression, just low libido at month 2 but lasted few weeks. I stopped propecia for a while due to price, but I started to loose my hair after few weeks. I decided to just buy it again and stopped the hair loss again.

The propecia minoxidil combo helped me regain some lost hair.

I have been using rogaine or minoxidil off and on and I get new hair after 2-3 months of treatment but I always quit doing it since is annoying to do twice a day, is greasy and gives me headaches and neck aches.

I have some leftover liquid minoxidil that I would like to pour inside the "scalp treatment" bottle of Nioxin and don't know if that would mess up the product of if helps work faster. After a month of Nioxin I see new baby hair in the front. I monitor their growth everyday.

Has anyone replaced propecia with provillus?

Propecia works for me and don't want to risk loosing what I got.

319. Uptown Brown Says:

Thanks for info. I'll get bac as soon as results show.

320. jm38 Says:

thinking of using provillus, nobody in my family is bald not one person i have a receding hairline and noticed thinning in the crown and since i was like 12 i liked my hair really really short sometimes just the open blade could that be a reason for going bald since no one in my family is bald? also is it possible for the hairline to get back to how it was before with surgery and if so how much? also whats a good shampoo? thank you

321. dee Says:

I gave been using scalpmed for about 2 months and have seen significant results and will continue to use it for now just to see how fast my hair grows back. I began losing my hair in 10 years ago. Will keep you informed

322. George Says:

I'm trying it as well. I'll be back to post results.

Yep. i'll say again. provillus and profollica- block dht

325. M-taz Says:

Hey everone? Has anyone heard of the AMINEXIL products by Loreal and Kerastase, its new here in South Africa so just wanna know if anyone has heard anything about its success rate? And i would also wanna know if you could use it in conjunction with provillus ? someone please respond. Thanks

326. OFR Says:

I've been using Zulvera shampoo for almost 5 months. I have seen new hair mainly on the front sides. No new hair on the mid front, and that's where I wanted the most. I don't know if I should continue using it or change to something more effective.

327. Janet Says:

I was using Rogaine for several weeks and started getting sores on my head followed by the hair falling out leaving a bald spot. I now not only have thinning hair but have five bald spots. I went to the doctor and he told me to stop the Rogaine. I had an allergic reaction to it. Has anyone else had this experience? And how long before the hair re-grows in the bald spots? I'm tempted to try provillus, but am a bit gun shy at this point. Any comments would be appreciated.

328. Sheila Says:

Hey y'all

Thanks for all the input, I thought it was just me. I'm in my late 30's and not ready for this mess. I'm a semi retired hair dresser. Thank God I got Nixion for free from my supervisor. I've been using it speriodically for about 2 yrs along with countless other stuff and not much change except the normal time length to regrow hair (1/2 in per month). So do't waste your money on high doller burning stinking stuff..

Any way it may be whats under the hood but who wants to check that if the paints peeling on top??

Good luck to all, if I find something not too guyish I'll let ya's know. Thanks

329. erin Says:

forget all the expensive toxic chemicals and hype....

get a couple ounces flowers of sulfur powder, mix it in a jar of heated (liquid) vaseline. allow to cool and rub a small dab of this salve on bald patches every day for a few weeks.

cheap, safe, fast, foolproof and easy!

328. John Says:

Hi all… I just ordered a 6 month supply of this stuff. Hopefully, it will work for me. I have faith. I have hope.

329. Brett Says:

Provillus has worked for me . At 50 I have a great full head of hair better and thicker than I had at 30 .

330. Peter Says:

None of this stuff works.

331. M-taz Says:

Hey brett, wow thats fab,did you use just the pills? what was your method? Please share with us your provillus experiences ie: how long you been using it,when did you see results,etc...

332. Crystal Says:

Hi, Im ONLY 21 yrs old and have been loing my hair for a little over a year. Its not genetics. I've had hair extentions which, over time caused it to thin out. I now have overall thinning hair and its so scary, it really brought my self-esteem and confidence down. I've been doing research on which product really works and what's the best solution for me. I thought SCALP MED was my last hope until I looked up your Web site. Can u PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE tell me when using PROVILLUS, does your hair fall off quickly if u discontinue it like ROGAINE does. If the product really works I'm willing to continuously use it! THANKS A MILLION!!
